Program Management

The traditional means of student recruitment in a heavily crowded market like India brings along with it both opportunities and challenges. Therefore, we are trying to stay ahead of the curve by exploring new ventures to make student recruitment more effective. One such opportunity is the program management model. 

What is it?

Program management is a white label service where a dedicated staff member of Slate acts as your employee to identify, establish and manage academic or industry partnerships depending on your objective through a twinning program model.

Why is it important?

Over the years, we have seen numerous memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between U.S. and Indian institutions that remain dormant due to lack of driving force to move these agreements forward. Program management requires a specialized and dedicated team to guide both stakeholders through various stages - from the inception of the idea to the very first batch of students that arrive in the U.S.


Therefore, program management model is a unique way to capitalize academic or industry partnerships to make student recruitment effective.

What does it cover?

Program management support through

  • Identifying 2-3 Indian partner institutions that would be a good fit for your institution
  • Managing timeline and deliverables with identified partners for twinning agreements
  • Implement twinning program by creating awareness through promoting your University programs and services to students
  • Evaluate, shortlist and assisting students with application processing/transfer formalities, visa guidance and pre-departure orientation
  • Managing on-campus office to promote your University at partner institutions
  • Manage relationship with EducationUSA and U.S. Consular Services at the U.S. Embassy/Consulates at regular intervals to maintain awareness about the twinning program
  • Publishing weekly/monthly reports of completed and upcoming promotional activities, visa interviews, and other efforts

This model has various benefits to it – actively engages a partnership than let it sit on papers, brand building through setting up local operational centres at partner institutions, builds a solid pipeline for student recruitment.
